Whil Phoenix, Arizona is a wonderful city, it has its own share of crumby date spots. We’ll tell you the places to avoid, why, and the locations you should substitute them with.
The Worst Dating Spots
The shopping mall and movie theaters would be a bad spot for a date. These places are crowded and it makes it hard for you and your date to connect. If you are in a place with hundreds of other people it will be hard for you to get to know the one person you really want to. It is also very easy to get distracted by other people. The malls can be considered a tourist hotspot. People from out of town frequent these places and make them less special.
Westgate City Center is a good place to avoid. Not much excitement happens over there, which will lead to a lull in the conversation and/ or boring conversation. Sedona is not the best place to go for a first date just because of its local. You would spend most of the time traveling there and back, which is not fun first date material. Try to avoid The W Hotel on a weekend. They are always busy, and packed. Just like the trip to Sedona there will be a lot of down time/waiting time. You want to keep your date interested.
Zip’s Sports Grill should also be avoided. Being a sports bar, it has a lot of televisions and that is a big distraction. You want to choose somewhere, where you can talk to each other and actually hear each other. The Salt River would not be a typical first date move unless you both want to hang out in your bathing suits all day. The Italian Grotto would be a good place to avoid for a good first impression. With all the mixed reviews, ranging from ‘horrible’ to ‘wonderful’, you would be better playing it safe. Find a place that you are one hundred percent positive will give you good service.
